A key highlight is the deeper integration of Siri AI with Apple Music. With the upgrade, users will be able to hold more fluid conversations with Siri, such as asking about an artist and immediately transitioning into music playback without having to restart or reframe the request.
Apple explained that the intention is to remove friction between curiosity and listening, allowing both information requests and playback commands to exist within a single, continuous interaction. In practical terms, this means a user could ask about a musician’s background and then instantly request a top track or album without repeating context.
AutoMix Upgrades Promise Smoother, AI-Driven Transitions
Another notable enhancement is coming to AutoMix, Apple Music’s AI-powered feature that creates transitions between songs. Apple says it is refining the underlying algorithms to better analyze tempo and musical key, which should result in more seamless shifts between tracks.
The update is designed to make playlists feel more like continuous mixes rather than disconnected songs. By improving how songs are matched, Apple aims to reduce abrupt changes and enhance listening flow, especially in curated or mood-based playlists.
Faster Performance, Better Reliability in Tough Network Conditions
Beyond AI features, Apple is also working on performance improvements across Apple Music. The company says users can expect faster loading times and more responsive streaming behavior overall.
It also highlighted ongoing work to improve reliability, particularly in areas with unstable or weak network connectivity. While Apple did not provide technical specifics, the focus appears to be on reducing playback interruptions and buffering issues that can disrupt listening.
Expanded Language Tools and Visual Redesigns
Apple is also significantly expanding its Lyrics Translation and Lyrics Pronunciation features, aiming to make global music more accessible to a wider audience.
Lyrics Translation will now support seven additional language pairings, including English-to-French, English-to-German, English-to-Italian, English-to-Korean, English-to-Spanish, French-to-English, and Japanese-to-English.
Meanwhile, Lyrics Pronunciation is being extended to cover several new combinations such as Arabic-to-Romanised Arabic, English-to-Hangul, English-to-Katakana, Japanese-to-Hangul, and Mandarin Chinese-to-Katakana. These additions are designed to help users better understand and sing along to songs in unfamiliar languages.
Alongside these updates, Apple Music will also receive redesigned artist and album pages, accompanied by broader visual refinements intended to modernize the interface and improve navigation.

The newly announced features are currently available to developers through Apple’s testing program. A public beta is expected to roll out next month via Apple’s beta software platform, with a wider release planned later in the year.
