Fans have been given a major glimpse into the next chapter of Spider-Man's story following the release of a new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which features the return of Bruce Banner and his powerful alter ego, the Hulk.

The newly unveiled footage offers a deeper look at the challenges facing Peter Parker as he struggles with a mysterious condition that appears to be spiraling beyond his control.

“What is happening to me?” Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, asks in the trailer. “I’m losing my mind. I am totally out of control, and I gotta fix whatever this is right now.”

As concern grows over his condition, Peter turns to Dr. Bruce Banner, portrayed by Mark Ruffalo, in search of answers. Banner reveals that he has managed to keep his own dangerous transformation under control through a device designed to suppress mutating DNA.

In a light-hearted moment, Banner introduces Peter to the technology that prevents him from turning into the Hulk and jokingly warns him, “Run!” if he is ever seen without it.

However, the trailer quickly shifts from humour to chaos as Banner undergoes a dramatic transformation into the Hulk right before Spider-Man’s eyes, hinting at the high-stakes action and emotional tension that will define the upcoming film.

The latest preview suggests that Peter's mysterious ailment could be connected to a dangerous mutation, raising questions about how the young superhero will overcome the crisis while continuing to protect New York City.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 31, 2026.

The film sees Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, who returns as MJ. The cast also includes Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas in undisclosed roles.

According to the film’s official synopsis: “It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”

The trailer has already generated significant excitement among Marvel fans, particularly with the return of Ruffalo’s Hulk and the suggestion that Peter Parker may be facing one of the most personal and dangerous battles of his superhero journey.
