New smartphone series introduces 12 expressive colour options, intelligent AI tools and long-lasting performance for young consumers

As smartphone designs become increasingly similar across brands, Infinix is positioning its latest release as a device that prioritises individuality as much as functionality. The technology company has officially unveiled the HOT 70 Series, introducing what it describes as its most fashion-conscious and expressive smartphone lineup to date.

Designed with younger consumers in mind, the new series combines vibrant aesthetics, artificial intelligence capabilities and durability features aimed at supporting everyday lifestyles. At the centre of the launch is Infinix's new Dynamic Shine Design philosophy, which debuts with an industry-first collection of 12 trend-inspired colourways intended to help users showcase their personal style.

According to the company, the HOT 70 is built around a simple idea: smartphones should be more than communication tools; they should also reflect the personality of their owners.

"Colorful, Versatile, Fun" serves as the core proposition of the HOT 70 Series, bringing together expressive design elements, One-Tap AI functionality and practical durability features in a single package.

A Smartphone Designed to Turn Heads

The HOT 70 introduces six primary colour options, each crafted to offer users distinct ways to express themselves. Despite housing a large battery and feature-rich hardware, the smartphone maintains a slim profile at just 7.49mm thick and weighs 195 grams, making it comfortable for everyday use.

One of the standout editions is the Thermo Orange variant, which features a temperature-responsive rear panel powered by what Infinix calls Dual-way Thermo Sensing Skin technology.

The colour-changing finish reacts to temperature fluctuations, shifting between shades of orange. When temperatures fall below 0°C, the device transforms into a richer Deep Orange hue. At approximately 65°C, the colour lightens into a softer Light Orange tone.

Beyond colour transitions, users can personalise the back panel by imprinting semi-permanent designs using custom stamps or moulds. This allows owners to add names, symbols or unique patterns, effectively transforming the device into a personalised accessory.

For consumers seeking a more subtle aesthetic, the Quiet Violet and Green Texture editions incorporate Lumina Flare Dynamic Flame Texture technology. The design creates flowing, flame-like patterns that interact with light, producing changing reflections and shadows as the device moves.

The visual appeal extends to the camera module, where Infinix introduces the Crystal Mood Island camera decoration. Featuring a faceted ring design, the camera housing reflects light from different angles, transforming what is typically a functional component into a distinctive design feature.

One-Tap AI Brings Everyday Convenience

Artificial intelligence takes centre stage on the HOT 70 through a dedicated One-Tap AI Button strategically positioned within easy thumb reach.

Rather than navigating multiple menus or launching separate applications, users can activate AI functions instantly with a single press.

A short press launches One-Tap AI FlashMemo, a new feature that goes beyond simple screenshot capture. The system recognises user intent and can automatically perform actions based on information displayed on the screen.

For example, flight details discovered in a chat can be converted into calendar events, business cards can be transformed into saved contacts, and email addresses can automatically populate new messages.

Information captured through FlashMemo is stored in AI MindHub, a centralised digital knowledge space designed to organise screenshots, notes, videos and other saved content. The system automatically categorises information, making it easier to retrieve important items without searching through multiple apps and conversations.

A long press of the AI button activates Folax AI, providing direct access to five major AI models, including ChatGPT and Google Gemini. Users can compare responses from different AI systems without leaving their current screen.

The smartphone also introduces AI-generated wallpapers and themes, allowing further personalisation of the user experience.

Photography capabilities are led by a 50MP main camera, supported by AI-enhanced editing tools such as AI Live Photo Mode, AI Eraser and AI Extender. These features help users capture sharper images, remove unwanted objects and intelligently expand photo backgrounds for sharing on social platforms.

Built for All-Day Use

Powering the HOT 70 is an upgraded battery system designed to support extended daily use. Depending on the market, the device will be available with either a 6000mAh single-cell battery or a 5600mAh dual-cell variant.

The smartphone supports 45W Lightning FastCharge technology, which Infinix says can fully recharge the battery in approximately one hour under laboratory testing conditions.

To address heat-related performance issues during intensive usage, the device introduces All-Scenario Bypass Charging. This technology allows power to flow directly from the charger to the device rather than through the battery, helping to reduce heat buildup during activities such as gaming, livestreaming and extended video sessions.

Users consume that battery power through a 6.78-inch display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 700 nits of high-brightness mode illumination. The screen is designed to remain visible outdoors, even under direct sunlight.

Under the hood, the HOT 70 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor, delivering support for multitasking, content creation, gaming and everyday productivity.

Military-Grade Protection for Everyday Challenges

Durability is another major focus of the HOT 70 Series.

The smartphone comes with Military-Grade Durability certification and an IP65 rating for resistance against dust and water splashes. According to Infinix, the device has undergone extensive testing, including 1.5-metre drop tests, multiple-angle impact evaluations and more than 40 consecutive front-face drops while maintaining screen functionality.

Additional protection features include Folax Speaker Cleaner, which uses sonic vibrations to remove dust and moisture from speaker components, helping preserve audio quality over time.

Privacy and security are strengthened through XGuard Full-Link Protection, incorporating features such as XHide, App Lock, Unlock Security Protection and Advertisement Control.

Communication quality is also enhanced through Pure Voice noise cancellation technology, which filters background sounds during calls in noisy environments. Meanwhile, UltraLink technology enables Bluetooth-based direct communication at distances of up to 1.5 kilometres when mobile network coverage is unavailable.

Long-Term Software Support

Infinix is also extending the lifespan of the HOT 70 through software support commitments.

The smartphone launches with XOS 16 and will receive up to three major operating system upgrades and five years of security updates on eligible models. This approach aims to keep devices secure and relevant for users over an extended ownership period.

HOT 70 Pro Teased Ahead of Future Launch

Alongside the standard HOT 70, Infinix offered an early preview of the upcoming HOT 70 Pro.

The company said the Pro model will retain the same "Colorful, Versatile, Fun" philosophy while introducing further improvements in design, imaging, artificial intelligence and overall performance.

Additional details about the HOT 70 Pro are expected to be announced in the coming months.

The Infinix HOT 70 will be available in Thermo Orange, Quiet Violet, Green Texture, Night Pulse, Silver Dancer and Dive Blue colour options.
