Reckitt Nigeria has appointed Her Excellency Mrs Toyin Ojora Saraki and Prince Abimbola Olashore as Independent Non-Executive Directors, a move aimed at reinforcing the company's governance structure and supporting its long-term growth strategy in Nigeria.

The appointments come at a significant moment for the company following the passing of its Board Chairman, Chief Michael Olumuyiwa Falomo, whose leadership played a pivotal role in shaping Reckitt Nigeria's growth and corporate governance over the years. The company paid tribute to his enduring contributions and legacy of service.

Mrs Saraki joins the Board with an extensive track record in public health, sustainability and social development. As Founder-President of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa, she has spent more than two decades championing maternal, newborn and child health, gender equity and community wellbeing initiatives across Africa and beyond.

Widely respected in global health circles, she serves as the inaugural Global Health Ambassador for the WHO Foundation and holds advisory and leadership positions with several international organisations, including the World Health Organization, World Economic Forum, AstraZeneca Global Breast Cancer Care Council and Bayer Sustainability Council. Her expertise is expected to provide valuable perspectives as Reckitt Nigeria continues to advance its mission of improving health and wellbeing in communities.

Also joining the Board is Prince Abimbola Olashore, a seasoned financial services executive and Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in banking, investment management and corporate advisory services.

Olashore is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lead Capital Plc and has held several senior leadership roles throughout his career, including Executive Director at Ecobank Transnational Group and Chief Executive Officer of Lead Advisory Group. He is widely recognised for driving business transformation and strategic growth across institutions.

Beyond the corporate sector, he currently serves as President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce, Deputy President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Council Member as well as Chairman of the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee of the Chartered Institute of Directors.

His wealth of experience in financial strategy, governance and institutional leadership is expected to strengthen the Board's oversight functions and support the company's strategic ambitions.
