Nigerian singer Kehinde Adegbodu has confirmed that he recently survived a fire accident at his family residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, after public concern grew over visible injuries on his hand and face.

The incident, which reportedly occurred about a week ago, came to light after fans noticed burns on the artist during a public appearance, prompting speculation online about possible spiritual attacks.

Addressing the concerns in a video shared on the Adegbodu Twins’ fan page on Wednesday evening, Kehinde clarified that his injuries were the result of a domestic fire accident and not any supernatural occurrence.

“I’m making this video to address the incident that happened about a week ago, this is to clarify that I’m medically ok. There’s nothing wrong with me, I’m very ok. But I had a fire accident at home,” he said.

He added that he had initially chosen not to make the incident public because, in his words, “it’s not a thing of celebration.”

Injuries described as mild, recovery underway

The singer explained that the accident affected his left hand, lips, and parts of his face, though he stressed that the injuries were not severe and are already healing.

“Although it’s not that terrible, it affected my left hand, my lips and my face. So, that is all,” he said, noting that his condition had improved since the incident.

Call for prayers and public support

Kehinde also used the opportunity to appeal for prayers from fans and well-wishers, expressing gratitude for their concern while emphasising his belief in spiritual strength and recovery.

“All I need from you is prayer. May God help me to overcome every seen and unseen spiritual battle,” he said.

He further dismissed circulating rumours suggesting he was under spiritual attack, reiterating that the incident was purely accidental.

Clarification puts speculation to rest

Following his statement, the singer sought to put an end to online speculation surrounding his condition, making it clear that he is not facing any spiritual challenges and is focused on recovery.

The update has since reassured fans who had expressed concern over his health and appearance in recent public outings.
