Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has reacted strongly to renewed criticism surrounding his personal life, insisting that recent claims against him are false and part of a sustained effort to damage his reputation.
In a lengthy statement shared on social media, the actor addressed allegations that he “took another man’s wife,” describing the narrative as misleading and deliberately constructed to portray him negatively.
He argued that the individual at the centre of the claim had long moved on with his life before re-emerging years later, suggesting that the renewed attention is tied to his former partner’s current success.
According to him, the situation has been misrepresented online and amplified by critics who, he says, are intent on bringing him down.
“There’s a coordinated attempt to bring me down,” he implied, maintaining that he has remained unaffected by years of public criticism.
He also expressed confidence in his resilience, insisting that he remains unmoved by attacks on his character.
“My aura gives my enemies sleepless nights,” he said.
In his post, Edochie reflected on the past four years of public scrutiny, claiming that repeated accusations against him have failed to derail his personal or professional life.
He described himself in strongly symbolic terms, attributing his endurance to what he called divine favour and personal destiny.
“It’s called GRACE. I have God’s grace,” he wrote, adding that he considers himself “a chosen one,” “a lion,” and “a king.”
The actor further praised his supporters, saying his continued relevance and fan loyalty demonstrate his resilience despite criticism.
He concluded his message with a celebratory tone, marking Father’s Day and offering prayers for fathers worldwide.
“Happy Father’s Day to me and to all great fathers all over the world. May we keep powering, Amen,” he added.
