The institution also announced that 16 of its graduating students scored between 321 and 362 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), highlighting what the school described as the impact of quality teaching, mentorship and a supportive learning environment.
The achievement was disclosed by the Managing Director of Chrisland Schools, Mrs Ibironke Adeyemi, during the school’s 2026 Joint Valedictory Service and Prize-Giving Ceremony held in Lagos.
The ceremony brought together education stakeholders, government representatives, parents, alumni and members of the school community. The wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, was the Special Guest of Honour.
Adeyemi praised the graduating students for their outstanding contributions in academics, leadership, sports and other co-curricular activities, describing the class as a source of pride for the institution.
She specifically highlighted the performance of Eze Somtobena, who achieved an aggregate score of 362 in the 2026 UTME, while 15 other students recorded scores ranging from 321 to 353.
“Today, we proudly celebrate the graduation of 327 outstanding students across our five secondary schools in Lagos. We are immensely proud of them. They have brought honour and pride to the school in different ways, representing the school and winning awards and accolades,” Adeyemi said.
“In the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, our very own Eze Somtobena accomplished an exceptional aggregate score of 362, standing tall among the nation’s brightest minds. Alongside him, 15 other high flyers from this graduating class scored between 353 and 321, a testament to the quality of teaching, mentorship and holistic learning environment that has been the consistent hallmark of our corporate ethos.”
She added that the results represented more than academic figures, noting that they reflected the school’s commitment to preparing students to compete successfully at national and global levels.
“These remarkable achievements are not just numbers; they are proof that at Chrisland Schools, students are empowered to excel, compete nationally and shine globally,” she said.
The managing director attributed the school’s continued achievements to investment in experienced teachers, modern educational facilities, character development programmes and a learner-focused approach to education.
She encouraged the graduates to remain disciplined and focused as they move into higher institutions, stressing that personal values would play a significant role in shaping their future.
“Over the years, you have been equipped with discipline, integrity, professionalism, love and excellence. These values are the anchors that will steady you as you navigate life’s challenges,” she said.
“I challenge you to think big and stay focused, pursue excellence in your academics and careers, see challenges as opportunities, and never give in to negative peer pressure. Dare to stand out and hold fast to your values.”
In her message to the graduates, Mrs Sanwo-Olu, represented by Mrs Mojisola Agbaje of the Wives of Lagos State Officials, emphasised the importance of integrity and good character in achieving lasting success.
She noted that while technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation were changing the global landscape, strong moral principles remained essential.
“The theme of today’s ceremony reminds us that true greatness is built on a solid foundation of integrity, honesty, respect, compassion, diligence, humility and service to humanity. Skills may open doors, but it is character that keeps those doors open,” Sanwo-Olu said.
She urged the graduates to embrace innovation while maintaining strong values as they prepare for future careers.
“Artificial Intelligence, digital innovation, climate change and rapidly evolving technologies will continue to redefine the future of work and leadership. Your ability to adapt, think creatively, collaborate effectively and uphold strong moral values will determine how far you go,” she added.
“Never allow the pursuit of success to make you compromise your integrity. Your certificates will introduce you, but your character will sustain your reputation.”
Sanwo-Olu also commended the school’s leadership and teachers for their efforts in developing responsible young leaders, while appreciating parents for their sacrifices in providing education and moral guidance for their children.
The Chairman of the occasion and former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Adeleke Mamora, encouraged the graduates to embrace continuous learning and develop strong character as they begin the next phase of their lives.
He described graduation as the beginning of independent learning rather than the end of education.
“Never stop learning. The world you are entering is changing faster than any generation before you has known. Your certificates matter, but your curiosity will determine how far you go,” Mamora said.
“Build your life on character, not achievement alone. People may forget your examination scores, but they will remember whether you kept your word and treated others with respect.”
He also advised the students not to fear failure but to view challenges as opportunities for growth.
“Do not fear failure. Learn, adapt and persevere. True success also includes service. Ask yourselves whose life is better because you lived,” he added.
Delivering the guest lecture, the Academic Director of the Institutional Growth Initiative at Pan-Atlantic University and Chrisland alumna, Dr Glory Enyinnaya, encouraged the graduates to identify their talents and use them to create positive change in society.
She explained that genuine success should be measured not only by personal accomplishments but also by the impact individuals have on others.
Enyinnaya urged the students to appreciate their parents, guardians and teachers for the sacrifices made throughout their educational journey.
“When you get home today, thank your parents for sending you to Chrisland. Think of your parents, guardians and families, those who prayed, paid, waited and believed in you,” she said.

She further encouraged the graduates to remain determined during difficult periods, noting that resilience and perseverance often separate successful individuals from others.
The ceremony featured the presentation of the Managing Director’s Honour Awards, recognising exceptional performance in academics, sports and creative arts.
Among the award recipients were Darren Ohiomoba of Chrisland High School Lekki, who received the MD Honour Award for academic excellence; Doreen Chinasa of Chrisland High School VGC, recognised for sports and physical excellence; and Akinlabi Esther of Chrisland High School VGC, honoured for creative and performing arts.
The event concluded with messages of encouragement for the graduates to uphold the values of excellence, integrity and service as they begin new chapters beyond secondary school.
