The 100 metres and 4x100 metres relay specialist, widely known as "The Nigerian Nightmare," said the national team's training camp has significantly improved the athletes' physical condition and mental focus ahead of the Games.
Speaking about his level of preparedness, Ashe expressed optimism that the intensive training programme has positioned him and his teammates for a successful outing in Scotland.

The sprinter also appealed to Nigerians to throw their weight behind Team Nigeria throughout the competition, stressing that the encouragement of fans, family and friends would serve as additional motivation for the athletes.
"I want Nigerians to support us—not just me, but every athlete representing the country. Family and friends should continue to encourage us and support us in every way they can. Thank you so much."
