From creating humorous videos for online audiences to becoming one of Ghana’s emerging digital entertainers, Abdul Latif Musah, popularly known as MUSAH, is gradually building a name for himself in the country’s fast-growing comedy and content creation industry.

The young comedian, digital creator and model has attracted a growing audience across social media platforms through his unique storytelling style, expressive performances and ability to turn everyday experiences into entertaining skits.

MUSAH’s rise to prominence gained national attention in 2022 when he won two major honours at the Ghana TikTok Excellent Awards — Best Influencer of the Year and Best Actor of the Year.

The recognition marked a significant milestone in his career and positioned him among the promising young creators shaping Ghana’s digital entertainment landscape.

From School Interest to Digital Fame

MUSAH’s passion for entertainment started during his time at Kumasi Technical Institution, where he discovered his interest in acting and creative expression.

What began as a personal hobby gradually developed into a professional pursuit as he explored content creation and built a connection with audiences online.

However, his journey to success was not without difficulties. Like many young creators entering the digital space, MUSAH faced criticism and online attacks in the early stages of his career.

Reflecting on his experience, he said cyberbullying was one of the first major challenges he encountered.

“Cyberbullying was my first challenge, which I overcame with time. In my journey of content creation, I have achieved a lot in terms of financial success, popularity and fame. There are many challenges, such as hardly having free time because millions of people are waiting for new content. But the good part is that it paves the way for more fame and more opportunities,” he said.

Family Support Came After Recognition

MUSAH also revealed that his parents were initially unaware of his involvement in entertainment until they eventually saw him featured on television.

The moment became an important turning point, helping them understand and appreciate the career path he had chosen.

Despite achieving recognition at a young age, the comedian believes there is still more work ahead as he continues to pursue bigger goals in the entertainment industry.

“I feel proud of myself for coming this far because content creation is not easy, but I fought for it and for the fame. I still haven’t reached my goal, but I’m super proud of my achievements,” he said.

Building a Brand Through Female Character Roles

One of MUSAH’s most recognisable creative styles is his portrayal of female characters in his comedy skits.

The approach has become one of the elements that distinguishes him from many other content creators and has earned him admiration from his followers.

Explaining why he adopted the style, he said:

“The idea of dressing as a lady is because ladies have funny characters. Dressing as a lady to portray those characters was the aim, and I knew I could do it perfectly.”

Through these performances, MUSAH has developed a comedic identity built around observation, creativity and relatable humour.

Looking Beyond Social Media

With consistency and determination, MUSAH has turned challenges into opportunities, creating a brand that connects with audiences in Ghana and beyond.

His journey reflects the growing influence of digital platforms in providing opportunities for young entertainers to showcase their talents without relying solely on traditional media channels.

As his audience continues to expand, MUSAH is focused on taking his craft beyond online skits and establishing himself as one of Ghana’s leading entertainment personalities.

For the young comedian, social media is only the beginning of a larger journey in the world of entertainment.
