The JADE Educational & Support Foundation has commenced its public education outreach programme with a focus on promoting academic excellence and improving learning opportunities for pupils in public primary schools across Lagos State.

As part of its maiden outreach, the foundation rewarded outstanding pupils and donated educational materials to three public primary schools in the Alimosho Local Government Area of the state.

The initiative, held at Aanuoluwapo Nursery and Primary School, Community Nursery and Primary School, and Temidire Nursery Primary School in Oke-Odo, was designed to encourage young learners, strengthen access to educational resources and support efforts towards quality education.

Speaking during the event, Founder of the JADE Foundation, Mrs Ibiremi Ibikunle-Ayeni, said the outreach represented a significant step in the organisation’s commitment to supporting children and expanding access to learning opportunities.

She explained that although the foundation had quietly provided educational assistance to children over the years, the new initiative was aimed at reaching more communities through a broader platform focused on promoting equality through education.

“An educated society is an informed society, and an informed society produces a great nation,” she said.

The Executive Secretary of the Alimosho Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Dr Aminat Olawunmi Ige, represented by the Head of School Support Services, Mrs Fausat Adeniran, praised the foundation for selecting Alimosho as the location for its first public outreach.

She described the programme as a meaningful contribution towards improving educational access and inspiring pupils to pursue academic excellence.

Delivering a motivational lecture titled “Excellence or Nothing,” the Lagos State Coordinating Lead of Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Youth Nigeria, Mrs Farida Awobayo, who represented the Network Coordinator, Mr Odulana Oluwatoyin, encouraged pupils to remain committed to excellence in their academic and personal lives.

She urged the children to embrace discipline, hard work and integrity, noting that these values are essential for achieving long-term success.





As part of the intervention, the foundation presented 54 school bags to top-performing pupils from Primary One to Primary Six across the three participating schools. In addition, 93 pupils received storybooks aimed at encouraging reading habits and improving literacy skills.

The foundation also donated 10 storybooks to the library of each participating school, further increasing access to reading materials and strengthening learning resources for pupils.

With the combined support, more than 150 pupils directly benefited from the outreach.

Expressing appreciation on behalf of the schools, the Head Teacher of Aanuoluwapo Nursery and Primary School, Mrs Kehinde Ayeni, said the donated materials would positively influence pupils’ confidence, learning experience and interest in reading.

She commended the foundation for investing in young learners and partnering with schools to support educational development.

The JADE Educational & Support Foundation was established in honour of the founder’s maternal grandparents, the late Jolade and Adejare Adeogun, whose commitment to education inspired the organisation’s vision.

The outreach was attended by members of the Adeogun family, education officials, teachers, pupils and other stakeholders who joined in celebrating the foundation’s commitment to improving educational opportunities for children.
