Nigerian content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has opened up on why she chooses not to collaborate with certain entertainers, particularly skit makers whose content style does not align with her personal brand.

The media personality made the revelation during a recent podcast interview, where she explained that she would not work with creators whose content she considers overly vulgar or indecent.

Kiekie stressed that her decision is not based on disrespect or criticism of other creators, but rather on maintaining consistency with the image and values associated with her brand.

“I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them,” she said.

When the interviewer asked her to mention a specific person she would not work with, Kiekie declined to name anyone, explaining that her position was based on content style rather than personal issues.

“Let me think about it. Hmmm. I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it’s just brand alignment,” she stated.

The fashion and lifestyle influencer added that refusing to collaborate with certain creators should not be interpreted as looking down on their work or questioning their efforts in the entertainment industry.

“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognize your hard work but we just don’t align,” Kiekie explained.

She noted that entertainers and influencers often have to make professional decisions based on how partnerships affect their public image and relationships with brands.

“It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work,” she added.

Kiekie, who has built a reputation for comedy, fashion, lifestyle content and brand partnerships, has become one of Nigeria’s recognised digital creators. Her comments highlight the growing importance of brand identity and content compatibility in Nigeria’s expanding influencer and entertainment industry.
