Nollywood actress Adebimpe Oyebade, better known as Mo Bimpe, has dismissed online allegations questioning the paternity of her triplets, describing the claims as false and warning those behind the rumours that she is prepared to take legal action.
The controversy began after an X user, @iam_Mardiyyah, alleged that Mo Bimpe’s husband, actor Lateef Adedimeji, had filed for divorce following an incident involving a failed blood donation at a general hospital in Ilorin. The claim, which quickly circulated online, suggested that the alleged incident had raised questions about the paternity of their children.
Reacting to the report, Mo Bimpe took to her Instagram Story to condemn the rumour and criticised those spreading what she described as harmful statements about her family.
The actress expressed anger over the decision by some online users to involve her children in unverified claims, warning that she would not ignore attacks directed at them.
“I don’t want to hear justice for whatever your stupid name is by the time I am ready for you! You silly trolls have constantly trolled me on these platforms for years & I’ve been quiet, but what I wouldn’t take is you bringing your stupidity to my children!!! Be warned! I won’t hesitate to take the right action if need be,” she wrote.
Mo Bimpe also accused some bloggers of using misleading materials, including artificial intelligence-generated images, to support what she described as fabricated stories.
“It’s the nerve to post fake/AI pictures together with fabricated lies for me! Such effrontery!” she added.
The actress and Lateef Adedimeji, who have been married for several years, welcomed their triplets earlier this year, a development that was celebrated by fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry.
The couple has not released any further statement beyond Mo Bimpe’s response, while the actress’ warning signals a possible legal response against individuals or platforms she believes are responsible for spreading defamatory claims about her family.
