In a public notice released on Sunday, the Commission said the decision became necessary due to what it described as “unforeseen circumstances beyond its control,” while expressing regret over the disruption caused to applicants preparing for the examination.
The NDDC also tendered an apology to all affected candidates, acknowledging the inconvenience the sudden change may have caused to their preparation plans and expectations.
New Examination Date to Be Announced
According to the Commission, a revised date for the CBT will be communicated in due course. It advised all applicants to remain alert and regularly check their email inboxes as well as the Commission’s official communication platforms for further updates.
“The Commission assures all candidates that a new date will be communicated in due course,” the statement indicated, adding that applicants should stay attentive to official channels to avoid missing important information.
Appeal for Patience and Cooperation
The Niger Delta Development Commission further thanked applicants for their patience and understanding, noting that cooperation from candidates remains essential as it works to reschedule the assessment process.
The Nigeria–Russia Scholarship Programme, one of the Commission’s education support initiatives, is designed to provide opportunities for students from the Niger Delta region to pursue higher education abroad, particularly in Russian institutions.
While no further details were provided on the specific cause of the postponement, the Commission maintained that the exercise would be rescheduled promptly once conditions are favourable.
