Popular TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has shared a dramatic account of how a period of detention prevented him from being involved in a car accident involving socialite Sam Larry, describing the situation as an act of divine intervention.

Peller made the revelation during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he recounted that he was originally scheduled to be with Sam Larry on the day of the crash. According to him, the two had plans to visit someone at a hotel, but his arrest and time in custody changed the course of events.

Reflecting on the incident, the content creator said he believes God protected him by allowing him to remain in prison at the time of the accident.

“I was supposed to be in Sam Larry’s car the day he had the car accident😭 because we planned to go see someone in a hotel that day, but I was in prison. I spent four days inside the cell. I had evidence on my phone of the police harassing me, and they were begging me to delete it.”

He added:

“Thank God for saving my life while in the cell.”

Peller further explained that his detention came after he was arrested in Lagos for driving at night without a plate number. He said his phone contained evidence of what he described as harassment by police officers during the encounter, adding that the officers later pleaded with him to remove the footage.

The TikTok star’s comments come after Sam Larry was involved in a serious road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway in Lagos earlier this month. Reports indicated that the vehicle carrying Larry and his bouncer collided with a trailer, causing extensive damage to the car.

Although Sam Larry survived the crash, his bouncer reportedly lost his life in the incident.

Meanwhile, Peller and his partner, fellow TikTok creator Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, recently thrilled fans after announcing the date for their white wedding. The couple revealed that the ceremony will take place on August 1, 2026, following their traditional wedding held in Benin City, Edo State.
