The revelation was made during Aikou’s diary session on Wednesday, where Big Brother informed him of the secret role and explained the responsibilities attached to it.
“Aikou, you are the Gambit. From this moment on, your identity as the Gambit must remain a secret,” Big Brother told him.
Aikou appeared surprised by the announcement but remained calm as he accepted the challenge before leaving the diary room.
The development follows the introduction of the Gambit twist by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, during the season’s first live eviction show.
Viewers had earlier voted for Aikou and Flora to become the two Gambits for the season, placing them in a unique position within the competition.
However, the new role comes with a major condition — both housemates are no longer eligible to compete for the N160 million grand prize.
Instead, Aikou and Flora will continue their journey in the Big Brother house as undercover agents, carrying out confidential assignments designed to influence events, test other housemates and add a new layer of strategy and unpredictability to the competition.
