Nigerian content creator Brain Jotter has expressed frustration after allegedly being harassed by a group of Lagos touts, popularly referred to as “agberos,” while driving on a Lagos road.
The skit maker raised the alarm on social media, sharing a video of the encounter on his Instagram page and using the footage to highlight what he described as an unpleasant experience with the roadside touts.
In the video, a group of men could be seen surrounding Brain Jotter’s vehicle as they allegedly prevented him from passing freely. The men were said to have demanded a settlement from the content creator before allowing him to proceed.
The confrontation appeared to leave Brain Jotter visibly frustrated as the situation unfolded around his car.
At one point in the video, one of the men was heard boasting, “I be lion,” during the encounter.
Reacting to the incident, Brain Jotter expressed his displeasure in a post accompanying the video.
“Lion no dey use eyes see goat. Nigerian zoo keepers are the worst. We lack good wild-life and they let a lion escape from their zoo. This is sad,” he wrote.
The post has since drawn attention to the recurring complaints by motorists and residents over confrontations with roadside touts in parts of Lagos.
Brain Jotter’s account also adds to the growing public conversation around the activities of touts and the manner in which they interact with motorists, particularly over demands for payments and alleged informal levies.
While the video showed the confrontation, Brain Jotter did not provide further details about the exact location of the incident or identify the individuals involved.
The content creator’s complaint has nevertheless sparked reactions online, with social media users commenting on the encounter and the broader issue of roadside harassment in Lagos.
