Beauty entrepreneur and reality television personality, Diadem Adeola, has accused her former friend and colleague, Dabota Lawson, of allegedly using bloggers to tarnish her image following their fallout.
Adeola made the allegations in a series of posts shared on her Instagram page, where she expressed frustration over what she described as the exposure of private issues stemming from her strained relationship with Lawson.
According to Adeola, Lawson allegedly provided bloggers with information about her after their disagreement, resulting in personal matters being discussed publicly. She also claimed that the situation escalated to the point where photographs of her daughter were published on a blog.
The development, she said, was particularly distressing because of the impact it had on her as a mother.
“I felt like a failed parent when I saw my daughter’s face on that dirty blog,” she wrote.
Adeola further alleged that the use of bloggers was not an isolated occurrence, claiming that Lawson had adopted a similar approach in disputes with other people.
“Every time you fall out with someone, it seems like your first instinct is to use bloggers to tear them down,” she alleged.
The entrepreneur said she had heard similar accounts from others, which she claimed contributed to her concerns about the way the disagreement was being handled publicly.
Adeola also stressed that she had invested years in building her personal brand and business, insisting that she would not allow the controversy to erase the work and reputation she had painstakingly established.
While acknowledging that she and Lawson had indeed fallen out, Adeola made it clear that she wanted the matter to end and asked her former associate to stop discussing her publicly.
“Get my name off your mouth Dabota Lawson and leave me alone,” she wrote.
The allegations come amid heightened public interest in the relationship between the two women, who were previously known to have shared a close friendship and professional association. Adeola’s posts, however, suggest that their relationship has now deteriorated significantly, with the dispute spilling into the public space.
Lawson’s response to the allegations was not included in Adeola’s posts. The claims remain allegations, and neither the authenticity of any information allegedly supplied to bloggers nor Lawson’s role in the publication of the reports has been independently established.
