South African producer, DJ and sonic architect Dr Moruti enters a new chapter with We Will Dance, a deeply personal album set for release on 28 August 2026 via gamma.
Inspired by the realities of life, We Will Dance explores resilience, faith, hope and the determination to find positivity even during difficult seasons. The album reflects Dr Moruti’s recent journey, including the challenges he has faced while holding on to hope for a better future for himself and his family.
The project follows “Left Behind,” the lead single released last week, which introduced the emotional world of the album and its themes of reflection, perseverance and overcoming adversity.
“At the heart of the album is a message of hope, positivity, faith, and freedom from negativity. I use music as a way to transform life’s challenges into something meaningful and uplifting, while sharing the talent and creativity I believe God has placed within me. We Will Dance is a reminder that even in difficult seasons, we still have a reason to celebrate, to believe and to keep going, “ Dr Moruti.
Across the album, Dr Moruti draws from Afro House, electronic music, Afro Tech, soulful dance and indigenous South African rhythms, creating a body of work that moves through different sounds and emotions while remaining rooted in its central message of hope.
For Dr Moruti, dance becomes more than movement. It represents freedom, celebration and perseverance, a choice to embrace positive energy and find joy regardless of what life brings.
We Will Dance ultimately represents a journey from struggle towards possibility, uncertainty towards hope and negativity towards positive energy. It is Dr Moruti’s invitation to listeners to celebrate life, hold on to faith and enjoy the music together.
“We will dance. We will keep moving forward. We will believe.”
WE WILL DANCE is out 28 August 2026 via gamma.
