Ericsson has continued its share repurchase programme, buying back 3.5 million of its own Class B shares during the trading week of July 27 to July 31, 2026, as part of its broader plan to return value to shareholders.

According to the company, the repurchases form part of its previously announced share buyback programme worth up to SEK 15 billion, unveiled on April 16, 2026. The programme commenced on April 23, 2026, and is expected to continue until March 31, 2027, at the latest.

During the reporting period, Ericsson purchased 750,000 shares on July 27, 500,000 shares on July 28, 1 million shares on July 29, 500,000 shares on July 30, and 750,000 shares on July 31.

The company said: "The share repurchases are a part of the share buyback program of up to SEK 15,000,000,000 which Ericsson announced on April 16, 2026, and which runs between April 23, 2026, and March 31, 2027, at the latest."

Ericsson added that its Board of Directors plans to seek shareholder approval at the 2027 Annual General Meeting to cancel the repurchased shares, except for those required to meet obligations under the company's share-related incentive programmes.

The company stated: "The Board of Directors intends to propose to the 2027 Annual General Meeting that the repurchased shares, other than those used to fulfil Ericsson’s obligations under its share-related incentive programs, are cancelled."

Ericsson noted that the buyback programme is being carried out in accordance with the European Union Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and the Safe Harbour Regulation, which govern share repurchase activities by listed companies.

All transactions during the week were executed on Nasdaq Stockholm by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE on Ericsson's behalf.
