Nollywood actor says no one, regardless of status, is worth sacrificing his peace of mind for

Nollywood actor Kunle Omisore has revealed that peace of mind is a major priority for him in romantic relationships, saying he would rather walk away than remain in a relationship that constantly causes him stress or frustration.

Omisore made the disclosure during a recent interview while discussing his romantic dealbreakers and the circumstances that could make him lose interest in a partner.

According to the actor, once a relationship becomes emotionally draining, he does not hesitate to withdraw, explaining that his feelings can switch off naturally when he becomes overly frustrated.

“If it stresses me, I’m done. If a king came to a feast here, if he’s going to keep stressing me. Maa salo,” he said.

The actor explained that although he takes love seriously when he is genuinely invested in someone, persistent frustration can change his feelings without him consciously deciding to end them.

“When I say I love you, I love you. If you frustrate me, that thing will switch off unconsciously, so I don’t control it,” Omisore said.

He added that once his feelings disappear, he may even find himself questioning the depth of his previous affection.

“And when it switches off, I will be like, ‘Oh, I really said I love you?’ That means it is switched off,” he said.

Omisore further stressed that social status would not influence his decision to remain in a stressful relationship. In his view, neither fame, wealth nor power makes a person worth sacrificing his emotional wellbeing for.

“I don’t just want to be stressed,” the actor stated.

He, however, jokingly identified one exception to the things he is willing to endure, noting that financial difficulties remain the one form of stress he cannot completely avoid.

“The only thing that is allowed to stress me is when I don’t have money,” he said.

The actor’s comments have sparked interest among fans and social media users, particularly his candid description of how quickly his romantic feelings can disappear when a relationship begins to affect his peace of mind.

Omisore’s remarks reflect a growing conversation around emotional boundaries in relationships, with the actor making it clear that, for him, love does not necessarily justify enduring persistent stress or emotional frustration.
