Bank targets parents, students, schools with savings and financing options
Keystone Bank Limited has rolled out a range of education-focused financial solutions aimed at helping Nigerian families manage school fees and other education-related expenses as preparations for the new academic session intensify.
The bank said the initiatives were designed to support parents, students and educational institutions at different stages of the education journey, while helping customers plan and manage their finances more effectively.
In a statement on Monday, Keystone Bank acknowledged that the beginning of a new academic session often comes with increased financial obligations for families, particularly with the payment of school fees and other associated expenses.
The bank said its solutions were developed to provide financing and savings options tailored to the varying needs of families, students and schools.
According to the bank, “One of our key offerings is the EduFinance, which enables salary earners to finance educational expenses for themselves, their children or wards, covering studies from early education through tertiary level, as well as professional certifications. The facility is open to eligible salary earners, irrespective of their salary bank.
“For parents looking to plan ahead for their children’s education, the Keystone Future Account provides a structured savings option for children and teenagers. The account is designed to encourage early savings while helping parents and guardians build funds towards future educational needs.”
The bank also highlighted the Keystone Evolve Account, which it said was targeted at students in tertiary institutions and members of the National Youth Service Corps.
“Similarly, the Keystone Evolve Account, designed for students in tertiary institutions and NYSC members, provides young people with an opportunity to develop financial independence and manage their finances as they navigate higher education and early adulthood,” the bank said.
Beyond individual customers, Keystone Bank said its education support extends to private schools through its School Support Loan.
The facility, according to the lender, provides financing to eligible privately owned and registered schools for working capital and asset financing requirements.
“Our support also extends to educational institutions through its School Support Loan, which provides financing to eligible privately owned and registered schools to meet working capital and asset financing needs. The facility can support areas including school renovations, equipment purchases, school buses, computers, inventory and other operational requirements,” it said.
The bank encouraged customers interested in its education-related offerings to visit any of its branches or use its official channels to obtain more information and determine the solution that best suits their financial needs.
Keystone Bank said its education-focused products form part of its broader commitment to developing financial solutions that address the everyday needs and aspirations of individuals, families and businesses.
The lender added that through its financing and savings offerings, it seeks to ease some of the financial pressures associated with education while encouraging families and young people to adopt better financial planning habits.
