Pepsi delivered another high-energy experience to the Big Brother Naija house, blending football, music, fashion and entertainment in an activation that transformed Day 27 of Season 11 into a celebration of culture and creativity.

The sixth sponsored task of the season, themed “Thirsty for More,” brought together the 20 “Show Ya Sef” housemates for a competition designed around three of Pepsi’s prominent cultural territories: music, style and football.

Rather than a conventional reality-show task, the activation turned the Big Brother Arena into a football-inspired entertainment space, giving housemates the opportunity to compete, perform and express themselves through music, dance, fashion and football.

The experience was also closely aligned with Pepsi’s global “Thirsty for More” platform, which encourages people to pursue the things they enjoy, embrace excitement and find more ways to make everyday moments memorable.

Pepsi’s long-standing relationship with Big Brother Naija has provided the brand with a platform to connect with a young, entertainment-focused audience. Through its various activations on the show, the brand has consistently linked itself with music, social interaction, fun and memorable experiences.

From its presence during meal times to its role in creating the atmosphere around Saturday night parties, Pepsi has steadily positioned itself as part of the housemates’ entertainment experience rather than simply a sponsor of the programme.

Football Meets Music in the Big Brother House

This year’s Day 27 activation expanded that connection by bringing football into Pepsi’s established mix of music and entertainment.

The move also reflects the brand’s growing global focus on football culture. In March 2026, Pepsi unveiled Pepsi Football Nation, a platform aimed at celebrating the sport beyond the traditional 90-minute match by connecting football with music, food, fandom and everyday social experiences.

That same spirit was brought into the Big Brother house as the housemates competed in a series of football- and entertainment-themed challenges.

The “Thirsty for More” task kicked off with two lucky dips. The first was used to determine the team captains, while the second decided the names of the four teams: Team Highlife, Team Afrobeat, Team Hip-Hop and Team R&B.

The captains subsequently selected headsets containing songs associated with their respective genres. After listening to their tracks, the teams were challenged to develop dance routines that incorporated football-inspired movements and prepare for their own Pepsi Half-Time Show.

Each team was given 40 minutes to rehearse at four designated locations around the Biggie mansion before heading to the Arena for the main competition.

Housemates Bring the Energy

The competition featured a penalty shootout and a “Guess the Groove” charades challenge, testing the housemates’ football knowledge, creativity and ability to work as teams.

The highlight of the evening was the Pepsi Half-Time Show, where the teams brought together choreography, music and football-inspired movements in performances designed to showcase their individual identities.

The housemates also participated in the Pepsi Fashion Lab, where each team was given five minutes to accessorise its merchandise and develop looks that reflected its chosen identity.

They then took to the stage to present their dance routines, with the 20 housemates combining personality, choreography, fashion and competitive spirit in a lively contest.

After the scores were tallied, Team Highlife emerged victorious with 35 points, winning Pepsi’s sixth sponsored task of the season and taking home the Pepsi Task trophy.

Beyond the competition itself, the activation demonstrated Pepsi’s strategy of turning sponsorship into immersive entertainment experiences. By bringing together football, music, fashion and performance, the brand created an environment that reflected the energy and spontaneity associated with its “Thirsty for More” platform.

As the housemates looked ahead to the Saturday night party, Pepsi had once again woven itself into the entertainment of the Big Brother Naija house, reinforcing its positioning as a brand that does not merely sponsor the experience but actively helps create it.
