The company’s local website is now allowing households to place deposits for residential service, with plans starting at 1.13 million dong ($43) a month. Customers will also have to pay 8.66 million dong for the required hardware.
Corporate customers face a minimum monthly subscription of 1.48 million dong.
Vietnam is the sixth Southeast Asian market where Starlink is available, joining Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and East Timor, according to the company’s coverage map.
The launch follows a decision by the Vietnamese government in March 2025 to allow SpaceX to operate Starlink on a trial basis. Authorities also waived foreign ownership restrictions for the service as part of the arrangement.
The government has limited Starlink’s subscriber base to 600,000 during the trial, which is scheduled to continue through the end of 2030.
Starlink’s Vietnamese operations are being handled by Starlink Services Vietnam, a local unit established in September 2025 with charter capital of 30 billion dong ($1.1 million).
Vietnam has also authorised four ground gateway stations for the satellite internet network, according to the government.
The rollout gives Starlink a foothold in a rapidly expanding regional market, particularly where conventional broadband infrastructure can be difficult or costly to deploy.
