The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced the schedule for its 2026/2027 Pre-Admission Screening Exercise, commonly referred to as the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME), with the exercise set to take place from Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The institution made this known in a statement released on Friday by its Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, who provided updates on the admission process and timelines for prospective students.

According to the statement, the university’s Admissions Officer, AbdulKareem Kunle Sanni, advised candidates who have successfully completed their screening registration to begin printing their examination schedules from Monday, August 10, 2026.

Akogun quoted Sanni as saying, “Candidates who have completed their screening application should begin printing their scheduled examination slips from Monday, August 10, 2026.”

The university also reminded applicants that the registration portal for both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry candidates would close on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

“The portal for screening registration will officially close on Sunday, August 9, 2026,” the statement read.

UNILORIN urged candidates not to wait until the last minute before accessing their examination slips, stressing that the documents would contain important details about their assigned screening dates and times.

The statement added, “Print their examination slips promptly once available to verify their scheduled test dates and times.”

The university further advised applicants to ensure that they complete all necessary admission procedures within the approved deadlines through the institution’s official admissions portal.

The key dates for the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise are:

  • Registration deadline for UTME and Direct Entry candidates: Sunday, August 9, 2026
  • Printing of examination slips begins: Monday, August 10, 2026
  • Post-UTME screening exercise: Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 2026

The announcement comes as tertiary institutions across Nigeria prepare to conduct their admission screening exercises following the conclusion of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The 2026 UTME was held from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026, paving the way for universities and other higher institutions to commence their respective admission processes.
