Controversial Nigerian skit maker and streamer Carter Efe has reignited his long-running grievances with Wizkid’s camp after taking a fresh swipe at the singer’s official disc jockey, DJ Tunez.

Speaking during a recent livestream, Carter Efe cautioned his followers against comparing him with DJ Tunez, while making an allegation about the disc jockey’s personal hygiene.

“You guys should never compare DJ Tunez, who puts on dirty boxers, to me again,” he fumed.

The latest outburst adds another chapter to Carter Efe’s publicly expressed frustration with Wizkid and members of the singer’s team.

Carter Efe has previously spoken about what he considers a lack of recognition from Wizkid’s camp following the release of his tribute song, “Machala,” which he released in honour of the Afrobeats superstar.

The song, which became a major talking point among Nigerian music fans, was widely associated with Carter Efe’s admiration for Wizkid. However, the streamer has repeatedly claimed that Wizkid and his team failed to acknowledge or appreciate his efforts after the song’s release.

His grievances later became more pronounced as he contrasted Wizkid’s alleged response with the treatment he received from Davido, one of Wizkid’s biggest rivals in the Nigerian music scene.

According to Carter Efe, Davido subsequently embraced him and offered him financial support at a time when he needed it. The streamer has credited the “Unavailable” hitmaker with playing a significant role in transforming his fortunes.

Carter Efe has described Davido’s intervention as life-changing, further deepening the contrast he has drawn between his experiences with the two Afrobeats stars.

While his latest comments about DJ Tunez have generated reactions online, neither DJ Tunez nor Wizkid has publicly responded to the specific allegation about the DJ’s personal hygiene.

Carter Efe’s remarks are therefore the latest in a series of public comments through which the entertainer has continued to revisit his strained relationship with Wizkid’s camp.
