Nigerian content creator and streamer Peller has responded sharply to fellow streamer Carter Efe following remarks in which Carter compared their relationships while praising his new girlfriend, Jasmine.
Carter, in a video circulating on social media, reportedly described Jasmine as exceptionally beautiful while making disparaging comments about Peller’s wife, Jarvis, in the course of comparing the two relationships.
The remarks prompted a reaction from Peller, who came to his wife’s defence and said he has no reservations about spending money on her as a way of expressing his love and appreciation.
Peller argued that buying expensive gifts for a partner should not necessarily be interpreted as a competition between relationships, saying he is comfortable spending money on Jarvis because of how much he values her.
“Mumu guy, if you want to let your girlfriend or your wife know how beautiful they are, you can appreciate their beauty with a house or a car,” Peller said.
He further stressed that Jarvis is financially independent and does not depend on him to meet her personal needs. According to him, his wife is capable of handling major expenses herself.
Peller also claimed that Jarvis recently paid for her own surgery, putting the cost at about $20,000.
“My wife have her money and she still fine join. I appreciate her with a car,” he added.
The streamer went on to criticise Carter over what he described as his approach to relationships and finances. Peller alleged that Carter discourages his partners from working while depending on the income he generates from Twitch.
Peller maintained that his decision to spend money on Jarvis was motivated by affection rather than an attempt to prove that his relationship was better than Carter’s.
“That one na less wetin I go use appreciate her next. We don’t know, it might be a [car], I Love my woman not by comparing her with your girlfriend or ex wey no get talent to make there own big money,” Peller said.
He also appeared to draw a distinction between appreciating a partner financially and using material gifts as a measure of a relationship, insisting that his actions toward Jarvis were simply part of how he chooses to express his love.
Peller concluded his response by urging Carter to show respect to Jarvis, whom he described as “the best”.
The exchange has added to the ongoing social media banter between Nigerian content creators, with their remarks generating conversations among fans about relationships, financial independence and the role of material gifts in expressing affection.
