The family of late Yoruba actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, will hold a 40-day prayer gathering in his honour, as his daughter, Kira Taiwo, invites family members, friends and associates to commemorate his life and legacy.
Kira announced the event through a poster shared on her social media page, urging relatives, friends and well-wishers to join the family for the religious gathering.
The prayer is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, at 12 noon at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.
The invitation poster featured a portrait of the late actor and carried the inscription: “You are invited to the 40 days prayer for Alh. Al-Hassan Babatunde Taiwo ‘Ogogo.’”
The gathering is expected to provide an opportunity for members of the actor’s family, friends, colleagues and associates to come together in prayer and remembrance.
The announcement is part of the family’s ongoing efforts to honour Ogogo’s memory and celebrate the legacy he left behind in the Yoruba film industry.
