Firm retains continental title for second consecutive year, building on four years as NGX’s leading securities firm by transaction value.

CardinalStone Securities Limited has reinforced its standing in Africa’s capital markets after emerging as both Africa’s Best Broker and Nigeria’s Best Broker at the Euromoney Markets Awards 2026, securing a double distinction that underscores its sustained presence in the continent’s brokerage industry.

The latest recognition marks the second consecutive year the firm has won the Africa’s Best Broker title, having first received the honour in 2025. Its latest achievement further strengthens its reputation as a leading securities firm in Nigeria and across the wider African market.

The awards build on a series of recognitions from Euromoney in recent years. In 2024, CardinalStone Securities was named Best for Equities in Nigeria before securing its first Africa’s Best Broker award in 2025. The latest double victory adds to that record, reflecting the firm’s continued focus on market expertise, execution capabilities and client service.

Beyond the international recognition, CardinalStone has maintained a strong position within Nigeria’s domestic capital market. The firm has ranked as the Nigerian Exchange’s number-one securities firm by transaction value for four consecutive years, from 2022 to 2025, according to the company.

Its performance has been supported by a broad institutional and retail client base, in-depth market research and the capacity to execute transactions across different market conditions.

Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director of CardinalStone Securities, Peter Omoregie, described the awards as an affirmation of the firm’s consistent performance and the confidence its clients have placed in its services.

“Winning Africa’s Best Broker for the second consecutive year, alongside Nigeria’s Best Broker, is a significant honour and a strong affirmation of the consistency of our performance,” Omoregie said.

He attributed the recognition to the collective contributions of the firm’s workforce, the strength of its client relationships and its broader ambition to build a globally competitive financial institution with African roots.

“These awards speak to the trust our clients place in us, the expertise and dedication of our people, and our commitment to building a world-class financial institution of African origin,” he stated.

Omoregie added that the firm’s ambitions extended beyond winning industry accolades, emphasising the importance of delivering consistent value to investors and supporting the development of the continent’s financial markets.

“For us, sustained leadership is about more than recognition. It means consistently delivering value, deepening market participation and contributing meaningfully to the development of Africa’s capital markets. We remain committed to raising the bar and creating long-term value for our clients and stakeholders,” he said.

Also commenting on the achievement, Executive Director of CardinalStone, Elile Olutimayin, expressed pride in the Securities team, describing the awards as recognition of its dedication and the confidence investors continue to place in the business.

“We are immensely proud of what the Securities team has achieved. This recognition speaks to the hard work, dedication and consistency of our people, and the trust our clients continue to place in us. We are grateful for that confidence and remain committed to building on these successes,” Olutimayin said.

The latest honours also highlight CardinalStone’s continued investment in technology, research and client-focused solutions. These investments are intended to strengthen its service delivery, improve execution capabilities and provide investors with access to a wider range of opportunities across the capital markets.

As financial markets across Africa continue to evolve, the ability of brokerage firms to combine market intelligence, technology and responsive client service is becoming increasingly important. CardinalStone’s strategy reflects this changing environment, with the firm seeking to strengthen its capabilities while broadening access to investment opportunities for institutional and individual investors.

Its sustained presence among the leading stockbroking firms on the Nigerian Exchange also places the company within a market increasingly focused on improving participation, enhancing liquidity and expanding investment opportunities.

CardinalStone said it remained committed to supporting the growth of Africa’s financial ecosystem through continued investment in its operations and the development of solutions that meet the needs of a diverse investor base.

The firm also expressed appreciation to its clients, business partners and other stakeholders for their continued trust, while acknowledging the professionalism and dedication of its employees, whose contributions it described as central to the latest achievements.

With consecutive continental honours and a new national title, CardinalStone Securities’ performance at the Euromoney Markets Awards 2026 adds another milestone to its record and reinforces its ambition to sustain its position in Nigeria’s brokerage industry while contributing to the broader development of Africa’s capital markets.
