Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Kamsy has revealed that she would gladly accept the show's newly introduced Gambit twist, saying a guaranteed place in the grand finale is worth more to her than the opportunity to compete for the ₦160 million grand prize.
Speaking during her diary session with Big Brother on Wednesday, the reality star shared her thoughts on the controversial twist, which grants immunity until the finale but strips the selected housemates of the chance to win the cash prize.
Kamsy admitted that her initial reaction was one of surprise after learning about the conditions attached to becoming a Gambit.
“At first, I was happy. But when I learnt that it does not come with the prize money, I was shocked,” she said.
However, she explained that after reflecting on the opportunity, she began to see the advantages that come with securing a guaranteed place in the final week of the competition.
“But I then realised it is something I would like,” Kamsy added.
According to her, making it to the finale without facing the risk of eviction is a significant achievement on its own, regardless of whether it comes with eligibility for the grand prize.
She expressed confidence that the twist would still place her among the strongest performers of the season.
“It’s a win-win for me. Whether I win the prize money or not, I know I will finish in the top three,” she said.
Kamsy also spoke optimistically about her future after the reality show, insisting that her success will not be measured solely by whether she leaves the house with the cash reward.
“Also, whether I win or not, I will forever be rich in this life,” she said.
The Gambit twist was unveiled by Big Brother on Monday as one of the major innovations introduced for Season 11. Under the format, viewers will vote to select one male and one female housemate to become Gambits.
The chosen contestants will enjoy automatic qualification for the grand finale and remain active participants in every aspect of the competition until the season concludes.
However, the privilege comes with a significant trade-off. While they are guaranteed places in the final, the two Gambits will be ineligible to compete for the show's ₦160 million grand prize, making the twist one of the season's most debated game-changing developments.
