Jesus is the name above all names. This name is greater and higher than all names. This name is full of power and wonders. Friends, this name is a name that is very much in use at the time we desperately seek for deliverance. Indeed, this name delivers people from all sorts of troubles, trials or tribulations. In fact, anytime we are faced with any difficult situation, the mention of this name; Jesus is capable of turning every seemingly difficult situation around for his glory.
At the mention of this name; Jesus, Satan and his agents must tremble. Demonic gatherings must scatter at the precious name of Jesus. No type of yoke can withstand this wonderful name. Brethren, I want us to recognize the fact that whenever this name is mentioned, every storm automatically stops and real peace takes over such environment or situations.
Little wonder then that the Bible declares in the letter to Philippians Chapter 2, verses 9 &10 that ‘wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and give him a name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth.”
Friends, as soon as you make up your mind to keep the commands of Jesus and begin to allow the word to dwell in you richly, the name of Jesus will become more than just a word. It will become a force that will cause every circumstance and every demon that tries to stand in your way to bow its knee to your command.
Beloved, the name of Jesus works. There is far greater power in the name than any one of us have yet realized.
My faith is so set on the authority of the name of Jesus that there are times I just say, in the name and the power and presence of God comes on the scene.
In fact, I have discovered that the name of Jesus, talking about the name alone is very effective when spoken by a word-abiding believer. The Book of Revelation, Chapter 19 and verse 13 says that the name of Jesus is the word of God! So, when an evil spirit is trying to bring sickness, poverty, depression or hopelessness into my life or household, I do not have to quote all the scriptures that I know to stop him, I can just point my finger at him and say, ‘Jesus’, this is like throwing the whole word of God in his face at once. Now, as an individual, discover for yourself what the exalted name can do. Begin to speak it with confidence and authority. Friends, there is power in the name of Jesus.
Without much ado, I want us to go through the third chapter of the Acts of Apostles and verses 1 to 8. This place is talking about the lame man at the Beautiful Gate and what happened between him and Peter. Verse 1, “now, Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour,’ verse 2, ‘and a certain man’ lame from his mother’s womb’ was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple’ which is called, Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple.”
Verse 3, “who seeing Peter and John, about to go into the temple, asked them for alms.” Verse 4, “and, fixing his eyes on him with John, Peter said, look at us.”
Verse 5, “so, he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.” Verse 6, “then, Peter said, silver and gold, I do not have but what I do have, I will give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk.” Verse 7, “and he took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately the feet and ankles received strength.”
Verse 8, “so, he, leaping up, stood and walked as he entered the temple with them. He walked, leaped and praised God.”
My dear friends in the lord, just a mention of this precious name, which must be accompanied by true and well grounded faith; will always bring faith results to manifestations.
This name, Jesus will see us through, no matter the situation. He is readily available to perform miracles. This name redeems and promotes. It is a name that brings calm on all storms of life.
To conclude, I will boldly say that no matter what any one of us, who is reading through this column is passing through; the mention of the name shall see us through. The name moves mountains. The name fills up valleys. It is a name that empowers the weak. This name is capable of seeing us through at all times. This name brings success and uproots failure. Anywhere this name is mentioned, signs and wonders will surely be the order of the day. The name of Jesus is a name that performs in a highly miraculous way, transforming people and promoting destinies.
It is a weapon that dismantles, disorganizes and destablises any power that is not of God, which tries to bring down the children of God, either physically or spiritually.
In Jesus name, we shall overcome and we shall be great in the land of the living. Amen.
