    MERRY XMAS

The historic record of the birth of Christ can be found in Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 2:1-20.Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matthew 1:18-25
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14Glory to God … Luke 2:1-20.
Unlike any other baby, the one born that night in Bethlehem was unique in all of history. He was not created by a human father and mother. He had a heavenly pre-existence (John 1:1-3, 14). He is God, the SonCreator of the universe (Philippians 2:5-11). In the birth of Jesus, the eternal, all-powerful and all-knowing Creator came to earth in the flesh. Why would God do such a thing? Why would he come as a baby, instead of appearing in power and majesty? Why make himself a true man and live among us, when he knew full well how terribly he would be treated? It was LOVE! It was necessary, if you are to be saved!
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviuor, which is Christ the Lord (Luk 2:11).Merry Xmas! Have you said, “Merry Xmas” to some? You should because today is a special day all over the world. It's the day set aside to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. It's also a day when you should reflect on what Jesus did for you.Jesus was born for a reason. The Bible says, “…But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13).We celebrate Jesus Christ, for if He hadn't come to earth, there would have been no salvation for mankind. He died for us, was raised from the dead, and He has brought us into His own class of being. The Bible says “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 John 5:11-12).Eternal life is that perfect Xmas gift you can give to anyone, and the salvation of a soul is also your special gift to the Lord. As you enjoy this glorious day, remember that there are many for whom the birth of Jesus holds no significance. Therefore, reach out to someone you know today who hasn't yet known the Lord, and share with Him the good name of what Jesus has done. Make sure that in everything you do, you celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that He have His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should no perish, but have everything life (John 3:16)Xmas is the most celebrated day all over the world. For many, it's the perfect opportunity to give and receive gifts, exchange pleasanteries and compliments of the season. But beyond verbal expression of merriment, giving and receiving of Xmas gifts and hampers, make up your mind to give the perfect gift this Xmas. There are lots of hurting people who need your love and comfort, and this beautiful opportunity to show them the love of Christ. The Bible says for us to remember the poor (Galatians 2:10). So as you celebrate, remember God's word, remember it's the Joy of the father's heat to give the hopeless and succor to the afflicted; these same thing you should be eager to do on occasions as Xmas. Once again I wish you a Merry Xmas.
