Bomb explosion Hits Thisday offices in Abuja, Kaduna

Two bomb explosions hit offices of Thisday Newspapers early today in Kaduna and Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital territory  killing at least three people. Red Cross spokesman Nwakpa Nwakpa told Reuters at the scene of the Abuja blast that "Someone, a suicide bomber, ran into the building with a bomb."
Those who died are believed to be the newspaper’s security personnel and the suicide bomber himself.
Soldiers and police have condoned off the scene while rescued workers evacuate the building.
The violent Boko Haram is responsible for deadly attacks in Northern Nigeria targeting security agencies, churches, westerners and government buildings. Apart from Malam Zakariya Isa, a newscaster and Hausa translator for the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Maiduguri network centre who was killed in October last year by the group, this is the first time violent the sect specifically target a media office.
