    Female Manager Arraigned For Theft

    A 36-year-old female Manager, Glory Sunday, on Tuesday appeared before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, charged with stealing N664,000 from a transport company.
    The accused is facing three counts of conspiracy, stealing and unlawful damage.
    The Prosecutor, Cpl. Jimah Iseghede, told the court that the accused stole proceeds from transport service rendered by the Akwa Ibom Transport Company, Ojuelegba, where she worked.
    Iseghede said that the accused destroyed the booking records of the company and falsified passengers’ manifest to perpetrate the act.
    He said that the accused conspired with others at large to commit the offences on April 4 at Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos.
    The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 285, 333 (2) and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
    The Magistrate, Mrs Adenike Adeeyo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.
    She adjourned the case to June 26 for mention.
