A day before the election, it was at gathering of who is who in the entire marketing communications industry as the association discussed the theme :Growing The Economic Pot :The Role of Advertising with Mr John Momoh, the Chief Executive Officer of Channels Media Limited, ably represented by Mr Kingsley Uranta at the occasion.
Aftermath the very insightful presentation by Mr Uranta, a three man panel of discussants that were made up of Mr Phillip Isiakpa, the Publisher of Business AM newspaper, Mr Kelechi Nwosu of TBWA /Concept Limited and Mr Lanre Adisa of Noah’s Ark Communications Limited did justice to the theme.
Also prominent and highly informative part of the event was the ‘Evening With The Veterans’ programme which had a full house of attendees. It was a programme designed to be an interactive session between the first or second generation of successful players and new or contemporary generation of players in the industry.
The veterans who took the centre stage in the night were Sir Steve Omojafor of the STB and Rosabel Advertising fame, Mr Kolawole Ayanwale of Centrespread Grey, Mrs Bola Thomas of LTC/JWT fame and Mr Lolu Akinwunmi of Prima Garnet fame. It was a nite of testimony of success stories of how accounts were successfully conceptualised and implemented, how relationships were nurtured and sustained with brand owners and custodians and how partnerships were maintained and how succession failed and also succeeded in the industry.
It is noteworthy that all the programmes were seamlessly anchored by Mr Jenkins Alumona of Strategic Outcomes Limited.
