No Time to Die: James Bond 25 Title Revealed with 2020 Release Date

No Time to Die is the name of the upcoming James Bond movie, Eon Productions and MGM announced Tuesday. It will be the 25th entry in the 57-year-old franchise, joining a long line of Bond films with the word “die” (Live and Let Die, Tomorrow Never Dies, and Die Another Day) in the title. Daniel Craig reprises the role of the super spy one last time.

Here’s the official synopsis of No Time to Die:
Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Returning to the cast are Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, Jeffrey Wright as CIA officer Felix Leiter, and French actress Lea Seydoux, who co-starred in Spectre as Dr. Madeleine Swann, daughter of the mysterious Mr. White character. Newcomers include Rami Malek, who will play the film’s villain. The successor to the 007 moniker is also in this movie, played by Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch.

The first script comes from seasoned Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, with director Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective), Scott Burns (Contagion), and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) contributing to the finished version.
No Time to Die hits theaters on April 3, 2020, in the U.K. and April 8, 2020, in the U.S.
