Of Friday's new cases, twenty-two are in Enugu, eighteen in Lagos,
six in Rivers, two in Akwa-Ibom and one in Edo.
No one has died of the disease in the west African country,
in past 24 hours.
Additionally, twelve patients recovered from COVID-19,
tested negative twice for the disease and have been discharged from hospitals
across the country.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in
Nigeria rose to 165,661, with the total number of recoveries stands at 156,399
and the tally of confirmed fatalities remained 2,066 as of Friday, May 14,
2021.
Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said in a tweet.
As of today, Nigeria’s has 7,196 active cases of COVID-19 up from 7,159 it was the
previous day.
