    COVID-19: NCDC Reports 34 New Infections, 18,004 Discharges

    Nigeria Centre  for Disease Control NCDC's latest updates on coronavirus across the country shows that Nigeria's total confirmed cases rose to 254,428 after the health officials reported additionally 34 new infections on Thursday.

    Meanwhile, no fatality was confirmed by the health officials today, with which the country's COVID-19 death still at 3,142.

    The health officials via it official website reported that as of today, the active coronavirus cases in Nigeria stands at …..  20,406.

    Also 18,004 more patients were reported to have recovered from the novel coronavirus after falling ill, taking the number of total recoveries in the country to 248, 850.

    NCDC stated that the recoveries today includes 17,984 community discharges from Lagos State and a backlog of discharges from state from December 2021 till date.

    In its latest updates, NCDC said, the new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in 3 states and the federation.

    Rivers state led with 15 cases, Lagos reported 14 cases and Abia had 5 cases.

    While Delta and Sokoto state reported no infections on Thursday.
