Sunday's case count is up from the 40 infections reported on Saturday.
It also announced that in the same period, 20 coronavirus
patients recovered and were discharged on Sunday, while no death were recorded
for the nineth consecutive days.
The data showed that the country’s active
COVID-19 cases stand at 2,385
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)
on the latest update on its social media page, noting that the country’s total
infection from the pandemic currently stands at 254,525, while 3,142 people
have died from COVID-19 related complications and 249, 013 patients have
recovered so far.
NCDC stated that the new cases were reported
in 6 states and the Federal Captital Territory.
A breakdown of the NCDC data revealed that Abia
State reported the highest figure of seven cases out of new infections,
followed by Lagos, Edo and FCT with six, four, three cases respectively.
Kaduna reported two cases, Osun and Rivers state
reported one case each.
While Ekiti, Kano, Nasarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Plateau,
and Sokoto reported no cases of the virus on Sunday, NCDC said.
