Thursday's daily case count is down from the 84
infections reported on Wednesday.
No coronavirus related death were recorded in
the past 24 hours, the health officials said in an update via it Twitter handle.
There are now a total of 254,894 COVID-19
cases in Nigeria where 3,142 people have lost their lives to the coronavirus
disease since February 27, when the country reported its first COVID-19 case.
Meanwhile, on same day, 19 patients recovered from the novel coronavirus after falling ill, taking the number of total recoveries in the country to 249,326.
Total active coronavirus cases in the country
now 2,426 up by 14 from 2,412 previous
day.
Data obtained from NCDC’s Twitter handle shows
that, within a 24 hour period Lagos, the most affected by the virus in the
country reported 23 cases. The highest number for the day.
Which includes backlog of 23 cases recorded on
9th (18) and 10th (5) March 2022, NCDC said.
River state reported 6 cases, Imo had 2 cases,
FCT and Kaduna reported 1 case each.
NCDC added that a backlog of 1 case reported in
Kaduna on 28th Feb 2022.
Also noted that four states; Abia, Edo,
Plateau, Sokoto reported zero cases.
