Netflix has dropped the trailer of Spiderhead. The Chris Hemsworth-starrer appears to be a psychological thriller. Chris Hemsworth is seen as a visionary who develops a futuristic prison and experiments on inmates with mind-altering drugs. What follows is a tale of incarcerated volunteers who are subjects to an experimental drug N-40.

Chris Hemsworth is making headlines for Thor: Love and Thunder. Apart from this, the trailer of Netflix's Spiderhead has all our attention. The core plot revolves around a group of inmates who are subjects of an experiment with the N-40 drug. Though it's not comical, the narrative has a quirky vibe to it.

The trailer showcases the reactions inmates show after the N-40 drug is injected into their bodies through surgical devices. It also deals with the after-effects, and the way Chris Hemsworth deals with the scenario. The visuals and the core concept look intriguing. We have to wait and see what the film has to offer as it premieres on Netflix on June 17

The official Netflix synopsis:

In a state-of-the-art penitentiary run by brilliant visionary Steve Abnesti (Chris Hemsworth), inmates wear a surgically attached device that administers dosages of mind-altering drugs in exchange for commuted sentences. There are no bars, no cells, or orange jumpsuits. In Spiderhead, incarcerated volunteers are free to be themselves. Until they’re not. 

At times, they’re a better version. Need to lighten up? There’s a drug for that. At a loss for words? There’s a drug for that, too. But when two subjects, Jeff (Miles Teller) and Lizzy (Jurnee Smollett), form a connection, their path to redemption take a twistier turn, as Abnesti’s experiments start to push the limits of free will altogether.
