TikTok, with over a billion users, is one of the most downloaded apps in the world. However, it has been facing more scrutiny in recent times due to data security concerns.
Several cybersecurity analysts have reportedly discovered a
security breach in an unsecured TikTok server that allegedly allowed access to
storage containing user personal data.
TikTok has denied these infringement claims. However,
Microsoft reportedly discovered a “high-profile vulnerability” in the TikTok
Android app, which “would have allowed attackers to compromise user accounts
with a single click.”
According to Bloomberg reportmany cybersecurity analysts
tweeted on Monday about the alleged breach of unsecured TikTok that could have
provided access to user’s personal data.
A spokesperson for TikTok has since denied the alleged
breach. In statementthey say that the code in question is not related to the
source code of TikTok’s backend.
