The National Basketball Association  announced Monday that forward Pascal Siakam has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 10 (Dec. 19-25) of the 2022-23 season. Siakam captures player of the week honours for the fifth time in his career (Nov. 5-11, 2018, Nov. 4-10, 2019, Jan. 20-26, 2020, and Jan. 31 - Feb. 6, 2022).

Siakam led the Eastern Conference in scoring last week averaging 38.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 43.6 minutes in three games. He shot .527 (39-74) from the field, .368 (7-19) from three-point range and .838 (31-37) at the free throw line.

Siakam began the week with 38 points, a season-high 15 rebounds and six assists Monday night at Philadelphia. He followed up with a career-best 52 points (17-25 FG, 2-6 3PT, 16-18 FT) Wednesday at New York. Siakam became just the fifth player in franchise history to score 50 points, joining Vince Carter, Terrence Ross, DeMar DeRozan and Fred VanVleet.

He also became just the seventh visiting team player to reach the 50-point mark at the current Madison Square Garden, and first since James Harden in 2019. Siakam capped the week helping the Raptors to their second consecutive victory with 26 points, seven rebounds and nine assists Friday at Cleveland.

Siakam is averaging career highs of 26.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 23 games this season and is one of just three players in the NBA currently leading their team in points, rebounds and assists per game, along with Luka Dončić and Nikola Jokic. Dončić was named Western Conference Player of the Week for Week 10.
