Lomorukai, who is the governor of Kenya’s Kurnana County,
said he is in Nigeria because of his interest in youth development and rapid

While in Nigeria, he is expected to pay a courtesy call on
Oba Oniru of Iruland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal,
Abisogun II and Dr Winifred Awosika, the founder of Chrisland Schools.
The two tournaments will begin tomorrow and end on Monday.
Players from 14 countries, including Kenya, Uganda,
Botswana, Ghana, Cameroun, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Tanzania, Botswana,
Zambia, South Africa, United States of America and host, Nigeria, will feature
at the four-day event.
According to the organisers, the President’s Cup is for
elite players, while students under 15 and 19 years old will participate in the
Foundation’s African Youth Scrabble Championship.
