Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, tied the knot with his long-time fiancée Chioma Rowland in a lavish ceremony in Lagos on Tuesday. The event, which has been trending on social media with the hashtag #Chivido2024, drew an impressive array of high-profile guests from various sectors of Nigerian society.

Afrobeat star Davido married Chioma Rowland in a star-studded Lagos ceremony. Attendees included former President Obasanjo, governors, and celebrities. The lavish event, trending as #Chivido2024, featured traditional rites and luxury displays. The high-profile union has captured widespread public interest and media attention.

Among the notable attendees were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke (who is also Davido's uncle), and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. Other dignitaries included the Soun of Ogbomoso Land, Oba Afolabi Olaoye, former Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel, and Seyi Tinubu, son of the current President.

Obasanjo, a revered elder statesman and key figure in Nigerian politics, arrived early, lending a touch of prestige to the occasion.

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and the senator representing the Edo South Senatorial District of Edo State, Daisy Danjuma were seen at the venue of the ongoing wedding ceremony between award-winning musician David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his partner, Chioma Rowland.

Also present is Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, Reggae-dancehall singer, Patroranking, and Skit maker Craze Clown, who are also at the venue.

Patoranking, In a terse congratulations message, Dancehall star Patoranking congratulates Davido while they shake hands. The Abule singer was glad in an Agbada with a fitted cap to match.

Jay Jay Okocha, Nigeria football legend was also on hand to grace the occasion.

The wedding was attended by close friends and family including notable figures.

They include governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde, Ogun state governor Dapo Abiodun and the monarch of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom Saheed Elegushi, former governor of Akwa Ibom Udom Emmanuel and business mogul Obi Cubana were also present among other dignitaries
