This esteemed appointment comes on the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) with Consultative Status within the organization.
ECOSOC plays a crucial role in coordinating the activities of 14 UN specialized agencies, 10 functional commissions, and five regional commissions, while also receiving reports from nine UN funds and programs and providing policy recommendations to the UN system and Member States.
Mr. Amahah, who serves as the CEO of the successful Nigerian renewable energy organization, Green Clean Innovation Hub, has also recently been appointed as the Principal Consultant to the House of Representatives Committee on Renewable Energy.
A statement issued by Edward Dibiana, Media Advisor to Green Clean Innovation Hub, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, indicated that the appointment letter, signed by Ambassador Dahiru Biu, Founder/CEO of the Global Organization for Sustainable Development Goals Inc, noted that Mr. Amahah will be issued an Annual or Temporary badge/Ground Pass, allowing him access to engage with the UN at its Headquarters in New York, Geneva, and Vienna.
He will have the opportunity to participate in various capacities through ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, including the Human Rights Council, and under certain conditions, some sessions of the General Assembly.
Furthermore, he will interact with other intergovernmental bodies and the United Nations Secretariat. The organization is also pleased to offer Mr. Amahah the position of Global Lead on Projects and Strategy for its Climate Change team.
This role, appointed by the CEO and recommended by the President Co-Founder and Vice Chair of the Board with Veto Powers, will be for a duration of one year, with the possibility of annual renewal as necessary.
Mr. Amahah’s role will be instrumental in integrating him into our team, propelling our mission to combat climate change and advance sustainable development on a global level.

Mr. Amahah is an accomplished agribusiness professional with over ten years of experience. He has made significant strides in developing rice and maize value chains and has been a key figure in Agrotek’s strategic initiatives. His innovative mindset led to the introduction of the first tablet fertilizer approved by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture.
As the Director General of the Nigerian Young Farmers Network, Mr. Amahah has empowered numerous young Nigerians through various training and mentorship initiatives. His leadership has cultivated a new wave of agripreneurs and garnered him recognition on international platforms.
In the realm of community development, Mr. Amahah has provided consultancy for NOSDRA and the Federal Ministry of Environment, tackling pressing environmental challenges. His contributions have been acknowledged with several awards, including the Top 12 Nigeria Youth Awards and the National Clean Energy Innovation Challenge.
