Haul247, a leading company in logistics technology, has announced the appointment of Ngozi Aghomi and Adaora Ikenze as Non-Executive Directors. This move is part of the company's commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusivity within its board while fostering innovation and growth in the logistics sector.

He emphasized that these appointments leverage the distinct strengths of two seasoned leaders to advance Haul247’s vision for the logistics industry in Africa.

Aghomi, who serves as the Director of Manufacturing Operations at Diageo North America Inc., is a professional in Supply Chain Management with a background in working with multinational companies across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Aghomi possesses a BSc and MSc in Computer Science, along with an MBA in General Management from the Lagos Business School at Pan Atlantic University. Additionally, she has earned two Executive Diplomas in Managing Businesses in Emerging Markets from both the University of Wisconsin and IESE Business School at the University of Navarra.

Ikenze serves as the Director of Public Policy for Anglophone West Africa at Meta Platforms Inc. She has extensive experience as a lawyer, development expert, political advisor, and not-for-profit funder across Africa, Europe, and the United States.

Prior to her role at META, she held prominent positions with the Global Fund for Women in San Francisco, the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, and the Open Society Initiative for West Africa in Nigeria. Ikenze completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Sheffield and Columbia University, respectively.

Ikenze expressed his enthusiasm about joining the board of Haul247, stating, "It is a privilege to be part of Haul247 and to assist in its mission to transform logistics throughout Africa. The opportunities for growth and innovation in this industry are vast, and I am eager to apply my expertise to help Haul247 reach its strategic objectives."

The recent seed funding secured in 2023 positions Haul247 as 'Africa’s Airbnb for trucks and warehouses,' and the new board appointments represent a pivotal moment, reinforcing its role in the African logistics sector.

Haul247, founded by Afolayan, Tobi Obasa, and Akindele Phillips, operates as a digital haulage platform designed to help businesses navigate complex logistics challenges with ease.

The company aims to transform the logistics landscape in Africa by utilizing technology to develop a platform that is efficient, transparent, and cost-effective for managing transportation and warehousing needs. Its innovative approach allows for the effective matching of orders with available resources, akin to an "Airbnb" model for trucks and warehouses.

To date, Haul247 provides services to more than 22 multinational corporations. The company has over 1,000 trucks available on its platform and approximately 151,000 square meters of warehouse space across various locations.
