Canadian music icon Drake was seen attending the Toronto stop of Nigerian artist Tems’ ‘Born In The Wild’ tour at History on Saturday.
Footage surfaced online capturing the moment when the camera
panned to Drake in a VIP area during Naomi Sharon’s performance, where he was
observed enjoying the music.
During her set, Tems shared with the audience that she was
battling a cold but was determined to perform.
“I have a cold but we’re gonna dance this cold away,” she
told her fans.
Tems then delivered a captivating performance featuring a
medley of tracks from her debut album ‘Born In The Wild’ along with selections
from her earlier works.
Tems and Drake have collaborated on two occasions: first on
Drake’s track ‘Fountain’ and later as featured artists on Future’s ‘Wait 4 U’,
which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Currently, Tems is on her world tour, which began in Europe
on June 12 and is set to conclude in Australia on November 15.
She released her eagerly awaited debut album, ‘Born In The
Wild’, on June 7, which includes 18 tracks featuring collaborations with
Afrobeats sensation Asake and American rapper J. Cole.
The tracks in the album consist of ‘Born In The Wild’,
‘Special Baby’, ‘Burning’, ‘Wickedest’, ‘Love Me Jeje’, ‘Get It Right’,
‘Ready’, and ‘Gangsta’.
Other tracks are ‘Unfortunate’, ‘Boy o Boy’, ‘Forever’,
‘Free Fall’, ‘Voices In My Head’, ‘Turn Me Up’, ‘Me & U’, ‘T-Unit’, ‘You In
My Face’, and ‘Hold On’.
Tems had previously released two songs from the album,
titled “Me & U” and “Love Me Jeje.”
The singer’s self-produced debut single, “Mr Rebel,” was
released in 2018, followed by her hit song “Try Me” in 2019.
