Tyson Fury has declared his intention to knock out Oleksandr Usyk in their upcoming rematch, following the loss of his undefeated record to the Ukrainian fighter.

Usyk secured a split decision victory when they first faced off in May, and the two will meet again for the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles in Riyadh on December 21.

Prior to this encounter, Fury had maintained an unblemished record over 35 professional fights, and he is determined to avenge his earlier defeat, drawing on his successful history in rematches.

In previous encounters, Fury has knocked out Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora in their second and third meetings, after having gone the distance with both in their initial bouts.

“I have to be a little bit more focused and smart to get the victory,” said Fury at a press conference in London on Wednesday.

“My rematches with people, I always end up knocking them out, so I’m envisaging something similar against Usyk.”

Usyk, who remains undefeated in his 22 professional fights, took the opportunity to poke fun at Fury during the press event. Clad in a black suit, red tie, and black leather gloves, the 37-year-old presented a photo of himself landing a punch on Fury, asking his rival to sign it.

However, Fury dominated the conversation, expressing confidence that he has gained valuable insights from his unexpected defeat.

“I believe it’s my time this time and all things that happen, positive or negative, are lessons and we must learn from these things as humans,” added Fury.

“What we know is to go out there and knock each other out, and to put on a show for the paying customer.”

It is worth noting that unlike their first bout, not all four heavyweight title belts will be contested this time, as Usyk vacated the IBF title in June, which was subsequently claimed by Daniel Dubois, who recently defeated Anthony Joshua at Wembley.
