Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha has shared insights into her preparation for her role in the newly released Netflix series, Seven Doors.

In this series, Akpotha takes on the character of an Igbo queen married to a Yoruba king, portrayed by Femi Adebayo. The narrative explores themes of royalty, family dynamics, love, betrayal, and redemption, necessitating her to communicate fluently in Yoruba.

During a television commercial interview with her co-star Femi Adebayo, the actress revealed that she specifically learned Yoruba to fulfill her role in the series.

She stated, “I had to learn Yoruba for my role in Seven Doors. The Yoruba used in the film was distinct from the standard dialect spoken in Lagos State, so I needed to pay close attention to the tone.”
