Senator Ned Nwoko, a well-known Nigerian politician and businessman, has refuted claims that he is expecting a child with Nollywood actress Chika Ike. Rumors began circulating after she posted pictures of her pregnancy on social media, causing the story to trend.

However, Nwoko stated on his verified Instagram account that these claims are "false rumors."

He addressed the allegations of planning to marry Chika Ike as his seventh wife, asserting that such claims are entirely unfounded and stem from malicious speculation. Additionally, he clarified that rumors suggesting his comments on Tuface and polygamy are completely false.

Nwoko's representative emphasized that as a public figure married to actress Regina Daniels, he often becomes the target of misleading stories crafted by bloggers seeking attention.

Currently, he is focused on fulfilling his political duties and has no interest in distractions. The office is open for journalists to verify information and serves as a reminder of the consequences for spreading false news.

Senator Nwoko is frequently linked to stories about polygamy, with the latest rumors tying him to Chika Ike. In previous years, reports suggested he wanted to marry younger entertainers. Just recently, similar rumors resurfaced following Ike's pregnancy announcement.

There is a pattern of linking female entertainers to wealthy politicians in Nigeria. Not long ago, BBNaija star Nengi Hampson faced rumors regarding a pregnancy with a governor, which both denied.

Chika Ike is a prominent Nollywood actress, producer, and businesswoman, with a history as a model. She studied Human Kinetics and Health Education at the University of Lagos and earned a postgraduate degree from the New York Film Academy. Ike has acted in numerous films and owns her production company, Chika Ike Production.

Ned Nwoko is a politician representing the Delta North Senatorial District and is a former member of the House of Representatives. He recently switched from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, he stated that his main goal is to work for his people and one reason for his party change is to create Anioma State, which his community has been advocating for over 50 years. However, Anioma State was not included in the new states proposed by the House of Representatives.

His wife, Regina Daniels Nwoko, also shared in a BBC Pidgin interview that she and her husband, along with his co-wives, have no issues. She mentioned that she might enter politics one day to support her husband.

As a mother of two, she frequently praises her husband on social media. However, there have been rumors in Nigeria about her not supporting his party switch, leading her to deactivate her Instagram account. These events have fueled speculation about the authenticity of the news surrounding them.
